The TINY tail cage mod.... I've seen this done before and it's pretty easy but here's a little how to. The plan is to make the tail end of the cage shorter. Here's what you start with. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j8...k/DSCF3454.jpg Here's what it'll look like when you're done. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j8...k/DSCF3455.jpg You need to remove the spare tire mount and the rear cross brace. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j8...k/DSCF3457.jpg Test fit the cross brace where it's to be cut. And mark your holes.then cut off the excess cage. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j8...k/DSCF3461.jpg Then drill your holes and using the stock hardware screw the cross brace into place. And this is what you'll end up with. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j8...k/DSCF3464.jpg http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j8...k/DSCF3465.jpg http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j8...k/DSCF3467.jpg Here's a before and after... Before.. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j8...k/DSCF3452.jpg After... http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j8...k/DSCF3468.jpg |
Re: The TINY tail cage mod.... I actually just left the holes that were about .25" from where you ended up drilling the new ones, looks good tho like this with the forward angle to it |
