Quick, Easy, Cheap Torque twist Help. So I was fed up with the torque twist on my TH. I looked at other ways to help with it.And what I could buy to help. So to me it seemed that from what I found. If the top links are up a little more it helps with the twist. So I came up with a way to not only raise them up but to do it cheap. And it looks kind of cool too...lol Here's what ya need. Eight Axial steering kingpins, four 3/4" m3 screws. That's it.. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j8...k/DSCF3486.jpg With the kingpins stacked up you get the lift you need. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j8...k/DSCF3488.jpg So take out the screws holding the top link mounts and lift them up. Then stack two of the kingpins on top of one another. With the little ends in the middle (as shown) then just put the longer 3/4" screw in the place of the short ones you removed. And after you do both ends on both mounting brackets you get this. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j8...k/DSCF3492.jpg http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j8...k/DSCF3489.jpg |

Re: Quick, Easy, Cheap Torque twist Help. I found where the silver kingpins came from...They came on a Duratrax cliff climber...So I found my old set of axles and robbed them of their pins....lol I'll just replace them with plastic ones.I also put in longer screws. Maybe 7/8 of an inch long..Here's the update pics..."thumbsup" http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j8...k/DSCF3507.jpg http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j8...k/DSCF3506.jpg http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j8...k/DSCF3503.jpg |
