Default My Twin Scammers

Just got my "knockoff" twin hammers, aka the twin scammers. So far feels good, and less than half the price of the legit one. Haven't ran it yet, gonna relube everything and check all the screws. Figured I'd show off some pics so Y'all with the th can compare. I need to start figuring all the popular goodies and whatnot to do to this. Any help is appreciated.

There's a thread already on here about all that. Got mine from gearbest. They've since been removed from the sight though.

Yea I know it seems like I missed the boat on that one...I see Ali express has some though. How's the quality and how's it run. I was looking for something smaller than my yeti xl but didn't want drop the money on the 1/10 yeti or th. Sorry to clutter your thread with talk

Shocks are half empty, haven't checked the diffs yet, and the torque twist blows. Other than that, it feels good and gets around pretty good. I feel it was a solid buy. Just need to see if everything is compatible with the th.

Thought I posted in this earlier, guess not. Well I got my package the other day and everything is a direct swap. No real modding needed. Only thing I need is some nuts to mount my shocks up, since neither the trailing arms nor the new shock mounts are threaded. Kind of weird that all the necessary hardware isn't included, but that's what I get for cheaping out on upgrades.

I guess I'm the only one interested in this. Lol. You said it looks like everything is direct bolt in so would the two speed tranny just bolt in as well? Also how much space is there for larger motors, I have an 1/8th setup I would like to put in one of these.

This is the direct clone of the hammers, not the 1/12 copy. The 1/12 is quite a bit smaller. This one comes with a two speed tranny.

Thanks for info. I just figured with being a cheap clone it might not come with all the same features. I think I'm gonna have to get me one of these ordered

I doubt a cheap chinese clone would handle the power of a 1/8th setup

And neither would a stock hammers.

What's a real hammers ever cost? I haven't payed any attention since the kits were dropped. I still think I'm well ahead, and we'll always be, price wise.

Ok so I'm still well ahead. Sweet. Makes it worth it haha. I still need to find some m3 locknuts so I can put this thing back together. Maybe I'll bother boom racing about the lack of hardware, see what they say.

you notice the front diff has oil coming out of it? your pictures show it..
its not coming from the diff. but out side of the diff.. they must spray oil on it to make it fit..
mine was saturated with oil!

Changed a lil something. Painted my body panels a nice flat tan. Need to figure out how to go about prepping the wheels and I'll spray them too. Also got the shocks mounted up. They still need new oil and whatnot, will probably just replace them all together. Also notice a pretty loud gear noise, and the steering rubs the driveshaft at full right. So I have some more problems to figure out.

Just spent more money. Got some 5000wt diff fluid and an assortment of shock oil from 50-100wt. Gonna do some rebuilding and hopefully work out some kinks.

For the weekend I could not be at a better place for a hammers. Wide open sandy beach and plenty of nice rock formations. And you know where my hammers is? At home, on the table, in pieces. Damn.
