|  Completed kit, Sharing some pictures
Been a long time watcher of the twin hammers. Love the scale look....yeti just does not look as good. I finished the kit in a couple of nights after kids were asleep. Still deciding to go brushed or brushless. In the mean time, i made some aluminum panels, I think they turned out pretty good. Panels look fantastic. Once you go brushless, you don't go back. I suggest sensored for crawling, non sensored for budget.

I work at a digital sign printing company. The design is printed directly to the .040 sheet of aluminum (like a street sign). Then cut with a jigsaw. I printed a 24x36 sheet and cut as I need it. I put in a vxl setup I had laying around but that had no low end control. Ended up going with a mamba pro and a sensored tekin redline17.5t. The only thing I don't like is the battery placement, really kills the scale look. The price you pay for easy battery access I guess. |

I don't normally dig the new age digital camo, but it looks sick draped over your TH. You made the panels look so clean it could be stock. If the visible battery really bothers you I've seen people shoe-horn 1800 2s packs under the interior ontop of the servo with a home-made battery tray. Then the ESC gets relocated between the shock towers. Makes battery changes interesting though. I'm running a Tekin 17.5 gen1 on 2200mah 2s geared 25/82 for crawling, and 28/78 for snow-bashing or sandpit abuse. I think you'll like it much more than the velenion. |

Aluminum panels for the TH was easier that I expected, only one bend for the sides and one for the hood. My yeti XL was a lot tougher. Makanouchi's kit build Thanks for the tips for battery. I think I'll go with some sort of permanent, hidden battery mount and charge the battery while in the car. Then move the spare up towards the middle. I hate visible wires on the rig. |

So here's my version of mounting the battery inside the body. I shortened the stock Velcro strap by folding it on itself and then sewed it together. Then clamped it to the chassis with plastic plate and screws. My 1300 3s maxamp fit like a glove.
