Let's start a build thread with a video:

This Vaterra Twin Hammers is highly upgraded with Vanquish Products Knuckles, C's, titanium link and aluminum trailing arms. The front diff is locked. Crawler Innovations acquired this rig as a roller back in March from a local ETXRCC club member. LOL, nothing like a build thread ten months late. After owning an Ascender for several months already, I was excited to try the twin hammers. This one came with a few upgrades already installed. The front diff was locked, an aluminum battery and shock plate was installed, metal drive shafts, Maxxis tires, rc4wd bead locks,

Next mandatory upgrade it seemed was the gearing and stepping up to hardened steel;

In search of new challenges and fresh terrain, Crawler Innovations hit the road during the summer of 2015 and one of our first stops was Big Bend Ranch State Park in South West Texas. The park has over 300,000 acres with only 50 camp sites. CI had an amazing time at the park and this video was filmed there. Link to State Park:

This particular video features the Crawler Innovations Vaterra Twin Hammers, driven by Gavin, and a small build thread on it is linked here:

The CI Vaterra Ascender nick named "Ascending 1" is driven by Eddie and a build thread is linked here:

CI's time with this Vaterra Twin Hammers has come to end. This rig has been sold as a slider and it's off to new adventures. Here are some pictures of this rig before it left;

The biggest downfall to the twin hammers is the pathetic steering. The plastic rack and its lack of a built in servo saver is a fault. How can a manufacturer expect a rock racer to have no servo saver? I also haven't found any aftermarket companies offering a kit to fix the steering. I've seen the bell crank mods, but those use solid aluminum bell cranks with no servo saver and space becomes limited in the tight area of the twin.

We ran this twin with the front locked the entire time with no issues. Vaterra makes some quality parts, because we never had any issues with axles or transmission parts. The Vanquish Products aluminum knuckles, C's, trailing arms and titanium links did their jobs as well.

Although this car has moved on, CI will still update this thread because we have more footage of this little 1.9 rock racer to release this year. Thank you for reading this thread.

Nice... Out of curiosity, what stand is that? Never mind. I see its your stand from your website.
Also, how did you mount a camera to it?
TIA!

More info on the stand is here:

I have several different camera mount plates I machined up for attaching cameras to rc cars. It really depends on the brand of camera and its mount since most are unique to the brand.

I have a gopro 1, 2, & 3 but they seem large and I can't see an easy way to mount them. Any suggestions or maybe you use the & no longer need your mount or would b willing to start selling them?

As for the stand, any idea if one is sufficiently big enough for an Axial Bomber too?
