Default Stronger Front Axles?

I bought the Team Associated kit for the front because I needed the longer ones after doing the upright shocks. The T.A ones are thinner than the stock ones on the Twin Hammers. Is anyone on here running something stronger than those T.A ones. Irie makes that race prepped ones but from what I hear they are the stock length so those will not do if that's the case. Thanks for the tips.

Interesting... Subscribed...
Btw, have you tried searching for hardened or cryo treated TA axles?

Not yet. But what would be nice is if somehow Irie could take the TA axles and beef em up how he does the stock ones.

Well worst case scenario. You can pick up some of the Irie cryo'd axles and then add limit straps or shorten the stroke of your front shocks to prevent the dog bones from popping out. Not perfect, but losing a little droop is better than breaking axles all the time.

True...but at the same time I kind of don't want to lose any travel seeing as how there is so little to start with. But we shall see. Still waiting to hear back from Irie. I will probably get one more pair of the TA ones depending on what Irie says. That will leave me with one spare axle because I only broke one side. If it keeps happening and Irie can't beef up the TA ones I will probably end up limiting the front.

I have my suspension maxed out with stock axles. I use the Irie tower.

Axle length isn't limiting your travel, CB angles and tie rods are.

The only way to get more usable clean travel would be longer arms AND axles.

Stick with the stock axles and drive right, things won't break.

Good that the stock length works for you, but thats not my case haha. So sticking with stock axles isn't exactly an option for me.

The TA longer db's are supposedly hardened. It may be worthwhile to learn which process they are using and explore the other methods of hardening metals.
