Default Front Diff to use as Rear Open Diff

Hi,

I haven't own a Twin Hammer yet and looking at getting one.
I like to check if the Front Diff is compatible with the Rear as I am looking at running a "Open" Diff.

I just happen to see that the Rear Diff Locker is a different Part Number form the Front Diff.

Please advise.

The axle shafts have to be drilled for the cross pin in the spider gears inside the diff, other than that a diff from the front should work in the rear.

The rear axles also need a bit of length removed or the center pin will not fit in the carrier.

That sounds like some precision drilling and cutting required.

The hole for the center pin does need to be in the proper location and square for the side gears to work right. But it is something that can be done relatively easy with the right tools, I would say a drill press at the very least.

Would be nice if there was a factory option to unlock the rear diff.

Good info, maybe a "kit" is needed?
