My TH has recently been making a deep grinding like noise when it drives. I am not sure what it could be. If anyone knows anything about what it could be that would be helpful. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

First thing to try ,remove the motor from the equation and roll back and forth to try and eliminate the gearbox , it could be as simple as to tight a mesh on the pinion to spur Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Then it is, indeed, the motor.

Have you identified if it is the motor or the transmission? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Gotta troubleshoot. Check and tighten your pinion. Check it's not the pinion/spur gear mesh. Try a different motor. TH RTR motor will die, only a matter of time. Could be on its last leg.

A single wire on my sensor wire broke recently and the motor made a grinding sound. It also got really hot really fast and cogged like mad. I thought I had destroyed a brand new motor. Once the sensor wire was replaced it was fine. Basically you have to trouble shoot RCs like a pc. Check one thing, if it's okay, move into the next. Start the parts that are easy to get to. If you're running a castle esc, listen to the beep codes. |
