Tried the chassis mounted battery plate. However due to the aftermarket roof panel, my battery cannot fit thru the window. So skipped the idea of a chassis mounted battery. Also couldn't miss the interior and driver figure.

Anyway tried something different.
Aluminium battery holder with 2s shorty pack. Some stick on weight to compensate the servo and motor on one side. Removed the spare Wheel.

And tried some 8mm Wheel wideners. Wich where send with the wheels.

Really like the handling now.
Also put stiffer inserts in the tyres (took then out of the stock tyres).

Big difference.

Ah, It's Dbx's piece. I thought his battery tray was designed to sit in the bottom of the chassis. I will look for it.

I also run the same Scorched suspension/steering setup in one of mine. So far it has been solid.

Thx

The aluminum tray is an amf tray. I have one I pulled off my twin hammers if you want it.

Sorry for the confusion. I am referring to the aluminum tray that run between the rear shocks.

After taking a closer look at it, I am not sure it will work. I was considering using it with my Blue Monkey +1 trailing arm setup but I don't think it will be compatible.

Oh ok. Its becautof those brackets that relocate the shocks, right? If you really wanted to you could probably cut some new aluminum brackets to make the geometry right. I also modified my battery tray so I could keep the sway bar by making custom sway bar mounts.

Does the AMF tray relocate the shock's top mount at all?

Yeah, it moves the top mount lower to compensate for the extra weight of the heavier battery.

I realise the pic isn't the actual motor but it looks like it's got s 5mm output shaft is this correct ?
Iv got the 5700 kv inthere at the moment and would like to replace it with a 1410 sensored system Iv got lying around but this has a 5mm shaft , is there a pinion that will work ? Iv got a 1.0 mod pitch 14T pinion that with fit but will this work with the stock spur ?

Stock spur is 48p so guess that wont line up with a mod1 pinion

Had a blast driving my TH, with the wider wheelbase and shorty in the rear.

Also the scorched suspension and steering set up kept holding on and doing great even after some hard crashes.

I tried to get the Robinson Racing 87 tooth black steel for mine but every shop is sold out. You may try Hobby Welt in Germany, they are the RRP distributor in Europe. I had to settle for the Hot Racing aluminum spur and Robinson aluminum pinion.
