Default TH build - battery question?

I am in the process of building my TH with a GCM plate and shock tower. I completely gutted the electronics and replaced with 3S capable esc and motor. I use ProTeks 4100mah lipo in all of my other crawlers and thought for sure this would be s good fit with the GCM plate. Well now that it is assembled I find that this battery doesnt allow the hood to close without distorting it really bad. Does anyone have any suggestions for a 3S battery that fits well but has a decent mah capacity? I have some 3S 1500mah 50C lip is but I am concerned about run time being way too short with that low of a capacity. Thanks!

The 1500's should last about a half hour if your crawling. Plus they are light.

Otherwise I can't help much as I run 2200 3s in the stock tray.
