Does anyone have any feed back on the scorched parts Twin Hammers Steering and Suspension Upgrade? https://www.shapeways.com/product/K3...ionId=59911680 How durable is it? I plan on using my TH for beach runs, fast trails, some rock crawling. I made a Rock crawling trail in my side yard for my SCX-10 ii and my TF2,, but it is not that difficult so I doubt the TH will have any problems in any configuration. I looked at some of the aluminum front suspension mods but not sure I want to add that much weight to the front. I like the looks of the Scorched Parts version but don't want to have to replace it all the time. Thanks |

I have that kit on my trail truck and have had zero issues so far. I've probably put 20+ packs through it at this point, and it has taken some hard tumbles. The other weekend it rolled end over end for about 60 feet down a steep rock slope with no damages to truck or steering. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk |

IMO it would probably be some of the best spent RC $$ you could do. They are great parts! Ernie |

My TH has the upright shock set up, it has taken many hard hits, big air jumps and bad landings with no damage to any of the scorched parts pieces. It's currently out of action with the lower control arms torn off and bent hinge pins from its last crash, head on into steel post at full speed!!! Thank you all. I will place my order. Which shocks are you all using and what piston, spring, oil combo?

I'm using gmade RSD 80mm shocks and the gmade oil and springs that come with the shock build kit. Only change so far is to use the scorched parts pistons that come with the front end, scorched parts supplies a set of pistons with 1 hole and another set with 2 holes. I have the 2 hole pistons installed and it seems pretty good to me for bashing and jumping.

So I have the Gmade shocks that I got used, so I don't have the included oil..Do you think 30 wt in the front? What should I use for weight in the rear to compliment this setup. I was thinking 35wt. I am thinking of leaving the battery in the back for ease of removal and unplugging. More speed runs then crawling.. Thanks |

With the battery in the tub, i think you’ll see a step improvement in all round performance. The battery will come in and out of the window opening in seconds without any tools needed.... it just means you need no interior part (or heavily trimmed one). Give it a try by just temporarily jamming the battery in there with foam/tape/zip ties. Even longer term, you can maybe fab something up to locate the battery - you don’t need to buy anything. Other battery move mods are available. This isn’t an advert or promotion, just friendly advice (moderators). |

I have ordered your battery tray Dbx! Look forward to fitting it. The stock battery tray is smashed now after fitting the vaterra rear sway bar, the links for the sway bar come up an hit the bottom of the stock tray, running 2s shorty packs so there's a bit of weight over the rear, good for wheelies! If I was gunna keep the stock tray I would have to cut the sway bar links down and shorten them a bit. My boy loves the TH interior and driver figure/helmet so I'm hoping I can cut it into a couple of pieces and hold them in place with magnets, pieces gotta be small enough to fit in and out of the window too.... |

Sounds like a good plan. I’ve been wanting to do something similar. Post some pics if you get it to work?

My original question was what weight oil in the front and rear shocks. I will move the battery after doing some more research.

Hi jgrim, I was thinking about adding the orange bump stops from the Losi Baja Rey rear shocks, but won’t bother now that I will be relocating the battery. |
