Just to be sure I'm on the right track here, the 5amp rating is @ 5volts ... yeah? Think I'll order one anyway along with some other goodies I saw on your site. PM heading your way |

How would you check output voltage on the adjustable BEC model?

I'm gonna run two of these: Savox SA1231SG Digital Servo Any chance you can make a dual channel 10A version? 6V. |

I could package two of the No Brainers together to give you the dual outputs, or you could try it as a single. As a third option, you could send me a BEC that you like and I could modify it to be a Dual Channel No Brainer BEC.

I got my custom 20amp dual-channel no-brainer BEC last week. Haven't gotten to do much actual crawling with my MOA 4WS rig yet but, all the twitching and glitching is gone now! Drives and turns super smooth. Thanks for the awesome work, Al! My son is also very happy that his Mini Recon is drive-able, now.

Just thought I'd throw this video up here. It's a quick demonstration of my Wraith before and after the HeyOK No-Brainer BEC. FYI my Wraith is running a Mamba Max Pro with a Tekin Redline Gen2 13.5 motor and a power hungry Savox SA-1230SG steer servo. I've bought a few different products from Al and they are always awesome quality, I recommend them fully. * I know, I said EEC twice instead of ESC. I had ESC and BEC on the brain so you get EEC.* ---RIP Gino the cat--- |

How does this supply 5 amps if the battery you're running is only a 3000mah one ?

The 5 amps you mention is an instantaneous amount. Meaning that if you put a large enough load on the BEC, that's how much current it is able to flow without failing. Let's say the BEC was set to 5 volts and you put a 1 ohm load across it. The amount of current that would flow is 5 amps because Amps = Volts divided by resistance = 5 volts / 1 ohm = 5 amps You mentined a 3000mah battery. The "h" means hour. For example, that battery is able to supply a current of 3000 miliamps for one hour. Kind of think of it as how large a bucket of power you have to drain. You probably noticed another number on your battery: C Sometimes you will see 20C or 50C or something. That is to help you find out how much current you can pull from the battery at once without destroying the battery. If you have a 3000mA battery rated at 20C it means that you can draw 3000mA x 20C = 60000mA from it for a short period of time. Hope that helps! Al

Interesting.... So you are able to set it to 7.4 volts. O.k.... But what would shipping to the Netherlands do? |

Um, 6v is fine for one output, but let's say I needed the other to be 12v....

It would, or it has in the past, but I've been tinkering with 4s.
