| GT3B Hack kit- Pre-order
Ok so i need atleast 8 pre-orders. What this will do is allow channel mapping to the trim and dual rate switches/buttons, up to 6 channels, dual esc mixing, 4ws mixing (crab, mix, front, rear, etc) This will include a modified programmer usb cord 4 pin gold plated header 12" 4 pin female to female extension Good install Instructions For $22 + shipping. first class is $3 priority is $5 for domestic mail. I'd like to get a 10 kits pre-ordered. PM me to order. This kit will require a whole 4 simple solder joints, i'll even make instructions on how to solder those for those afraid to solder circuit boards...but its not hard, This is the manual with the firmware...i'll make a better one but if you want a peek here you go https://github.com/semerad/gt3b/blob...NUAL-0.2.0.txt |

Does this include a 3 pos switch or is it part of the programming? Making the switch momentary.

Also for the pre-order, i won't have indepth install instructions, because i can't find my camera but it's real simple, Pull the screws open the case Solder on the header Route the extension through the handle, out the batt box screw it back together Here's some pics thanks to QuangVuong This is where the header needs to be soldered The back side And this is the orientation it needs to be plugged in |

Ok well i didn't realize how tight it was on top, programmer cord won't be comming out of batt box...i have afew other idea's i'm going to try out. Worst case scenario, you'll have to pull a few screws every time you want to re-program it (new firmware is release) Either way price is the same as my parts list isn't changed...but i think i can keep it from having to undo a few screws to re-program...i will test those idea's soon. |

Will this reprogram allow for the exponential to function properly? Can you program the backlight to stay on longer? Is the modified programmer the special circuit board you need to reflash the transmitter? I am very interested in this. The thread on rctech started it, but I was't tech savy enough to figure out what the heck to do. But if this is as simple as it sounds I'm in. |

Yes this will fix expo, trim, adjustable backlight, a lot more. It's the same firmware from rctech...it'll just include all the proper stuff to do it, instead of a home brew setup The modified programmer is just the stm8s programmer with a few solder/jumper points removed. And now that I think about it, the 4 solder joints arnt required, just put in the header, apply sideways pressure and hit program.

Im out then, I will wait till the 3pos switch is ready. The 3pos switch is the only beef I have with the radio.

If you install the 6 ch position, you can map a aux ch to each set of trim buttons/ switches and have 4 channels with 3 position capability plus go and steer. and don't forget the mixing features. For $60 investment, it is a very advance radio, the 4pl has it in little things, like ease of programabilty, probably alittle more ergonomic, stuff like that. but costs alot more, and extra rx's don't cost 10 bucks.

Ok so you will need to modify the case just alittle, and its real simple. A pair of snips and needle nose will do it, taking about a 1/8"x 3/4" chunck out near the antenna, basically just one of the grooves...This is an optional step, but much easier than unscrewing the case each time you want to program. So far tools to install, Philips screw driver Soldering iron Optional tools is Small flat head Hot glue gun (w/ glue) snips Needle nose I can probably install the kit 10 minutes, for someone reading directions and carefully doing it...about 30 minutes. |

So I tallyed up final prices, and since i modified a few things from my original plan, price will go up slightly, all pre-orders will remain same price, about 5% off from what they'll sell for after pre-orders.
