Specs:
28mm diameter stator, 16mm stator Length.
Works well with the mamba 25 controller- nothing bigger needed
1/8th inch shaft to fit all of your favorite pinions!
25mm bolt pattern to bolt up to any speed 500/600 gearbox or tranny.
Comes with 3.5mm gold plugs.
3.5 oz

This means you have a bolt up motor that needs nothing special to make it fit- works on super scale and 2.2 alike. Runtimes on a 2.2 tlt with 1200mah cells is around 30-45 minutes. Runtimes on a super with 3000's is around 35 minutes.

Gearing--- I gear it just like a 55t lathe. Final ratio for super crawlers should be around 60-70:1. Final ratio on 2.2's can be just about anywhere. 45:1 seems to yeild a good speed, 50:1 is a pretty slow crawl. If you wanted speed for a basher, 25:1 could be used with 2.2's but the controller would need to be bigger (like a quark 33/pro car)

about half the weight of a 550 -- 3.5 ounces
more power than a 550
about the same diameter of a 540 -- 1.35"
about half the length of a 550 -- 1.25"

They will fit where any 540 will fit, with mucho room to spare. The only stipulation is that the can cannot be touching anything since it spins.

I have to say, I just swapped out the motor and put in my mamba esc and I am *really* impressed with this setup. I've not tried anything too difficult, but the transition from super slow powerful crawling to hauling butt is amazing with this motor. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to try something new.

My only complaint is since it is an outrunner, the outside cylinder does rotate, that's different from what I've seen on my Hyperion. I had to clean up some of my wires around there. This is a really minor point and is due to the nature of the type of motor. I'm thinking of buying me another motor and esc to try in one of my max crawlers.

Sweet Aren't they little jems? Makes a world of difference. The rotating can is a bit of a ***** if you have messy builds (and I am numero uno on that), but that is also how these motors produce so much torque. Keep an eye on your wires if they are close to the can. If they rub for any length of time the insulation will come off. I would recommend a bit of shrink wrap for any areas that are in a possible danger zone. Also, if you run in a very sandy place, a bit of tape over the vented end would not be a bad idea.

Im going to really push the Revolver this week and see just how much weight it will haul before overheating. I bet it would push a 10+ pound rig around no problem, but I don't want to sell one for that application until I try it out myself. I'll update this thread with my findings.

i plan on ordering a motor in the next few days, i have a mamba 25 already.

what voltage do you recommend running with the system.

i will be using my 7cell gp1100 pack. but i want to get a 2 or 3 cell lipo for less weight and longer runtime.

Anywhere from 6-10 cells will work fine. 2-3 cell lipo is good too. I have yet to try 5 cell nimh- but it is on my list of to-do. It would be handy to run it with no need for a bec or voltage reg. As far as how much juice the motor sucks, it will vary with driver style, mamba programming, and vehicle weight. I would not use a pack with less than 30 amps continuous discharge. I need to get an amp meter with a plotter- one more for the to-do list.

I prep every motor before it goes out, install the connectors, and add some shrinkwrap for ya to use as you see fit.

I should probably begin testing them before they leave. Would anybody have a problem with me throwing a prop on and revving them up a few times to make sure everything is cool and running smooth?

I introduced my mom and grandma to The Beaver today. They liked it. I told them I named it the Beaver after a girl said it looked like one. I didn't get into the beaver jokes that normally ensue.

I dont think the bRushless Beaver will be at the next comp- capen eats her alive. I need something a bit longer for that place. It will be bRushless of course. I still have enough Revolvers to yank a few for a build.

I think test running with a prop is a good idea. The motors last forever so it's not like you'd be taking any lifespan away. Just another way to build your customer service imho.

Can't wait to see how long my runtimes will be using my new Team Orion 4800mah Li-Po packs!!

Are you custom milling the mounting plates yourself and who are you sourcing these motors from? I saw no mention of a brand other than the Holmes Hobbies.

Hey johnrob, have and Mini T sized outrunners? 380's I think?

mini t sized would be 200's, as 380's will push a stadium truck past 50mph.

yes, I can get them faster than two jiggles of a jackrabbits ***. What voltage do you plan on using? That will determine the wind. $45 for the most expensive of the feigao long cans

I can get plenty of other brands too. Hacker, Hyperion, neu, pletty, and the standard mamba motors (feigao). I have other sources, but they take longer.

Your running voltage, just like any setup, is the most important factor for deciding on motor. If you want blazing fast and long runtimes, go with 3 cell lipo and 5600kv motor or so. If you want ease of use go for 6 cell nimh and 6800kv or 8000kv motor (or so). Both will be fast enough to soil yourself, the lipo will last close to an hour for runtime though.
