I can't see any reason not to install one! In fact, I'd encourage it

what size are the conductors used to go from the output connector of "The lighting controller" to the actual led's? will 22 gauge work? Im thinking of using an ethernet socket and plug to hook up wires on the body to the chassis.

I have used wires stripped from old ethernet jumpers a lot for this. It works fine. Just use the smallest gauge you are happy with. Stranded 22 gauge is great as it is usually fairly strong and still flexible.

Just having a simple, clean and professional connection to hook up the body power to the chassis is what I'm looking for. I think your controller will make it easy to just that. Ether net connections are about as easy to hook together and release as any.

Thanks for the super fast response. My next questions involve actual lighting products. Where are people sourcing the LED's? I would love to have some cree lamps up front like what is in my 1000 lumen tactical light. They have special drivers, what would it take to make some? Then the light bar would not be necessary.

I use suppliers like Digikey and Newark.
Also try ebay.

Send me a PM and we can talk about some that I have. This way we don't clutter my thread with things that aren't specifically about this controller.

Looking at buying this controller, am I missing something in the image? I'm not seeing how the the two leads (+ & - so to speak) connect back to the lighting controller. From the image it appears that there is only an output for the +.

I think I see what you mean.

It's hard to see in the picture, but there are two rows of pins. Each output is paired with a pin underneath it. So under each pin that has the coloured marker on it, there is another pin.

Does that clear it up, or maybe I misunderstood?

Yup clear now, I still don't see the second row of pins.

They are there, just a crappy pic!

Here is a similar item - also not a great picture, but I think you will see the pins.
