| Soft Start Winch Controller
The Soft Start function is meant to reduce the chance of damaging the gear train and winch line when the winch motor begins pulling. Instead of sudden full power being applied to the winch, the power is increased from zero to full power over about 1/4 of a second. Soft Start is an option that can be applied to any of the three position winches I make at time of ordering. I might add it to the two position controllers at a later time. This adds $7 to the cost of the winch. Here is a video showing how it reduces the amount of start up torque: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mMmp8ooQHWI This is a picture of the 3PWR4JST winch controller with the Soft Start option. Adding Soft Start changes the part number to 3PWR4SJST Last edited by heyok; 07-22-2017 at 08:32 AM. Reason: Photobucket support over, switching to imgur |

Just installed one of these and there is a very noticeable difference. I will definitely have this feature included on all future controllers. Nice job Al! |

I just installed mine and it works great! It makes spooling the winch in much easier as the hook gets close to the winch.

Hi there, Is it possible to get Soft Start on your 3-pos MOSFET switch? Or perhaps it's not even necessary? Cheers |

Great I'll PM you when ready to order and confirm the price, have to hack my Turnigy GTX3 first and see if it works. I'd prefer a 3-pos switch to the 2-pos.

Are these compatible with your wireless winch controller?

Can someone send in their controller and have you install the soft start feature? I've got the hv 4amp relay controller.
