Thumbs up Ready Winch

The easy way to add a winch to your rig!

This is a combination package of my wireless winch controller and servo winch.
Add your own winch line and hook.

Plug it in between your rig's battery and ESC, mount the waterproofed controller and the winch servo and you are good to go!

Doesn't use up a channel on your transmitter because it comes with its own control.

This controller needs 6 to 12 volts to operate (a 2S or 3S lipo pack will work).

Part number RW1
Price $80

Also available with Soft Start for $10 more. This causes the winch power to ramp up over about 1/2 a second in order to be more gentle on the winch gears and line.
Part number RW1SS
Price $90

Do you want the plastic case for the receiver? Add $4

The Ready Winch was reviewed on Infected RC:

Good questions!
3S max as I think the motor would go up in smoke on 4S

I just use whatever I can find for an inexpensive high torque metal gear servo. Typically it is a TowerPro 996 or equivalent. So the torque will be on the order of 180 oz in at 6 volts if the specs are to be believed.

Hey Al, any chance of getting a wired controller that will run directly from 3S ?

This will do what you are asking, I think:
4 Amp Relay Output Winch Controller

Unless you mean something different by "wired controller".

I have that controller. I just haven't bought a winch for it yet. I was wondering if you have any plans to make a higher voltage version of your smaller 6V controller.

I mistakenly asked about 3S, what I meant was a 7.4V version. I run my ESC's BEC at 7.4V. A smaller wired which controller I could run right off my receiver or small dedicated 2S battery is what I actuall meant.

If not I'll stay with original plan and run a smal 850mAH 3S to power my LED light bars and winch through you dimmer switch and 4 amp winch controller.
