Perfect timing! I needed to place an order!

Looks a lot like the Quicksand winch. Beautiful!
How much can it lift and how much voltage can it handle?

You shouldn't take it so seriously. I bet there is a happy ending.

I guess I'll have to see how this one works against a Quicksand winch...

A winch is essentially a motor, so if your previous winch controller controls a motor it should work with this one.

The specs on RPP's site say that an RC4WD or Heyok controller is recommended.

Guess you don't want to know the price of the original Quicksand winch then!

original quicksand had videos showing how much it can pull. This doesnt even have a spec listed. I'll wait to see if its worth it.

Just guessing but based on the size of the motor I doesn't look like a servo winch but larger than your typical gear motor winch. Should set somewhere between a servo winch and a gear motor winch in terms of power.

Based on the pics of it on the Deadbolt, it looks to me like the dimensions are the same as the Quicksand and that would make it a servo motor under that motor cover.
Just guessing though.

The O.G. Quicksand was massively underpriced.

You would probably know better than me

I'm thinking it looks a little short both in terms of width (of the motor) and height (of the winch - I'm thinking gear set wouldn't have enough room ) for a servo. Also if I where to build one and try to make a decent margin of go with the much cheaper non-servo option.

I agree with ya, but hopefully it isn't a little motor with a bunch of plastic around it... It looks a lot better than most of the winches out there on the market except for the quicksand. Kinda surprised they didn't let the lever touch the brake wheel.

Look at the pic mounted on the Deadbolt. The winch is sitting below the top of the framerails, down inside the bumper. If it was sitting on top of the rails it would be taller than the hood, just like a Quicksand.

Will this work with HeyOk winch controllers?
It says you can use rc4wd or HeyOk winch controllers. But I don't think you can connect that little white plug to the HeyOk controller. Correct me if I'm wrong. I am considering one for my JK

This question might sound a little dumb but, will I need another BEC for the winch and winch controller? I am still not sure if I should run it off a separate battery or just connect it to the main battery.

Can someone please help me out? Do I need another BEC for the winch?

I hope so too.

Yea, I'm a little bummed the lever doesn't bounce off the brake wheel also. oh well, small complaint.
Didn't stop me from ordering mine, guess we will see soon.

Many factors come into play. It depends on the power of the servo and the winch. Sometimes you can get away with running steering and a winch off the same BEC. You can try it, if the truck shuts down when you are winching and turning at the same time, you need another BEC.
I always run a BEC just for the winch so I don't have to worry about it.
