Default Team br00d Crawler Motors and Batteries....

Thought I would drop a line on here to announce our Rock Crawler products we will be introducing over the next few weeks.

We aim to replace the integy motors with a high quality brushed motor. We will be offering all the popular winds along with custom orders.....We will be offering our motors in MUCH better cans/endbells than the current brushed stuff out there. Checkpoint, Orion, etc will all be available.

We are also working on some new stuff....including our new drop in replacement 5 segment arm....which provides a smoother power band and increased efficency with less maintenance than a 3 segment arm. They also feature our Jimmy Hat comm locking device that prevents from throwing winds....

I attached a photo of a prototype of the 5 segment armature.

Team br00d Cells will be available in all different types for all your crawling needs....

Wow... I'm not familiar with Brood myself, but I hear good things at my local club races. One of the points leaders runs Brood cells and he's absolutely dumb-founded by how well the work... his word; "nuclear".

I already bought like $3,000 in rock and it's at the track....

As for the time frame....

The 3 segment stuff should be appearing on the site in the next ten days.....

Just don't expect $24.99 motors.....I am sorry, but the integy lathe motors (both machine and handwound) are junk....there is a reason nobody runs those teardowns in any form of racing.....the reason they sell though, is because its all that available really......and they are cheap to boot.

The Checkpoint cans should be on the site next week, along with the Ti, V2 teardowns......We will also be offering the large comm 3 segment arms for increased torque.

We will have 50t, 55t, 60t, 65t, and 70t as base winds.....and you will be able to order any wind in between to suit your needs.

The 5 segment stuff is a couple of months out, as we are waiting on a big load of them while we finish our testing......I am recruiting a few of the top crawlers around the country to do some testing.....

Batteries will show up in the next two weeks also....

If you have any product requests, please let me know at eddieo@teambrood.com and I will see what we can do.

Glad to see you over here Eddie, can't wait to see what you come up with, or to make a trip up to Peel It to check on the rocks. Sorry I didn't get to visit with you at the comp, but things were a bit hectic at times. Next time for sure.

Wow!! Now we are talking. Bout time someone steps up and gets this rolling. EddieO...will we see some of your revolutionary commentary in the Rock Crawling sections? I love reading thru your posts on RCTECH. You know your stuff and I am glad to see you here.

Everyone needs to watch out. Eddie bought a couple Hustlers!

I may get my Hobby Shop to get in touch with Wes.

Thanks
Tom

Is the diameter of the comm large enough to work with laydown brushes?

Looks SLICK! I cant wait to see how well they perform. The more commutation cycles per RPM the better!

Motors shouldn't cost more than the current Teardowns of similar type do on the site....

The comm ring adds about $10 to a motor....

The 5 Segment arms are going to be about $10 more....

Probably later today, you will see a lot of the crawler stuff appear on the site, but will be listed as out of stock as we build up the stock to handle the demand.

While you can use a regular laydown on the 5 segment, it has WAY too much overlap.....so you need to trim them down a bit to make it a reasonable amount. In theory, as long as it has or is close to having some overlap, it would still be a laydown.....we will be selling the brushes pre-cut on the motors and pre-cut spares.

I plan to be a bit more tame here with my commentary......I get away with bloody murder on rctech, cause all the mods are my friends......I will still call it as I see it though.......that's just me.

I got my Hustler's yesterday.....they are PIMP....I am building one this weekend and getting it all done up with my stuff I got from all over.....

They are just 3, which is what pretty much all the brushed RC car motors out there are.....the main reason, ROAR rules for racing require 3.....so no company ever felt the need to make a 5 or 7, because it would not be legal.

These things have a way smoother powerband and more precise throttle control.......in simple terms....a blip on the throttle is now divided by 5 instead of 3......
