DNA R/C will be releasing a much impoved shift fork rod to replace the once threaded item. The new fork and rod assembly will be press fit to eliminate ANY issues that may have occured in the past. These will be released on ALL new DNA Dig units. Also they will be available for spares/replacement. If you have purchased a dig in the past 10 day's please e-mail customerservice@dna-rc.com and we will replace your fork and rod. This will require you to return the old setup.

just got in my new dig and slingshot from jph, dig went together smooth with no issues, still need to hook up a servo, but hand operation is smooth, just like the last one I bought. Slingshot looks great, but I have one bent link that appears to be shorter than it should be. it is a lower link, it also has more of a bend to it.

Default dig unit problem

The 1/8th inch shaft for the shift fork was boogered up on the ends and the threads were way more tapered than pipe threads and would not screw into the shift fork rather the whole shaft would slide through it. I also have another problem but would prefer to talk to you over the phone at 205-233-2015 or205-233-2335. I received my unit Wednesday and have been leaving voice mails ever since. I understand you are very busy but this is the last thing i am waiting on.

This is not a "upgrade" for the fork. Just the rod. This eliminates the threading issuses that have come up in the most recent digs. have you adjusted anything since your installation?

Just played with endpoints. It never has worked without binding on the way into or out of lock.

Did you read the e-mail I sent you last night, it may help clarify the problem. I really need to get it fixed, and I dont mind sending it in if need be. Please let me know, thanks

I got my DNA dig in the truck today and it works perfect. But I would like some clarifaction on the part being fixed. My rod screwed in to the shift fork does that mean its the old one.

thanks for hooking me up DNA
my dig works alot better now-
should I use 2 set screws to hold the driveshaft to outputs?--have MIPS/thundertech using 2 set screws, but after about 10min. of bashing and binding(torture testing) the driveshafts "come loose", screws are still tight--they are actually digging/rounding the outputs(happens on both front and rear shafts-eventually).
What are my options?
make bigger flats
make bigger flats with a small hole for set screws
or
drill hole all the way through and use a long set screw?(think this will break the output?)
