the CFX Slingshot and CFX wheels are complete and on their way to be built for the official product release right here at rccrawler.com on the home page.

They are half the weight of an equivalent aluminum wheel. For those with knowledge of dynamic systems know that there are huge performance increases with a 50% reduction in mass with respect to unsprung weight and rotational inertial effects. The rotational inertial effects are also reduced over the aluminum counterpart because of the reduction in overall mass as well as the mass distribution. The "rim" of the wheel weighs much less than the aluminum counterpart therefore reducing the total rotational inertia of the wheel. I'd throw in some math to prove it but I think that would be a waste of time. But the forces to overcome the overall inertial effects of a rotating wheel are the mass of the wheel plus 50%. If you want the math I'll give it to you

Yeah that helps alot when I tape 8 ounces of weight on them

Hey man, you have to give them a break. They are comming up with new stuff all the time. There are only so many hours in a day. You should at least be happy that you haven't seen it yet, as you will be spending money as soon as you do.

I for one like the suspense of not knowing rather then knowing what is comming and not have it go into production for months.

Just sit back and relax.
