Flipped it so knuckle's are in the rear now, added nylon bushing's. DNA will be making a production version of this steering. I'm heading to run this rig in about an hour, I'll get some video of body off so you can see steering working.
I'm still waiting, search and trying to find a steering set-up that I like...cant wait to see the video, and your review.

Well that was short lived, just a couple minute's in and the front motor gave out. Guess I shouldn't have just thrownn in some old motor's that were lying around.
No video but got a couple poser picture's.
As for the steering, it's Grover's setup. He's been running it on his Berg for awhile. Just new for me and has DNA's intrest.

Got some new motor's in, made a skid to protect the Mamba Micro Pro's. I work a 12 tomorrow so i'm gonna try and drop it by Grover's in the morning so he can play with it a little.

It's a peice of Associated slick stick on skid. Just notched and slid it under the upper rear link mount, then peeled back and cut to use the adhesive on motor to hold it in place on that end. This is something each person will do to suit there need's.

Grover drove it today and seem's to be happy, It need's a touch more flex(and be able to go sprung) but that will be taken care of with next prototype as mentioned earlier in this thread

Grover drove the prototype throughout the week so it made sense to have him run it at the ORCRC comp today. He drove it to an impressive 2nd place finish.

Here's a couple vid's short enough I could download them..

Default Two Great Designs

Great looking Chassis. I've heard a lot of good things about it.
The Chassis and the BTA Steering are two outside the Normal
rules of tought in design. I like Them!

I personally think the best part of that truck is the sweet body. As for the rest of it, it'll never work.

Not if your driving it!

BTW, thanks for giving me the body at Crawlopolloza so it wouldn't sit naked.

No problem man, glad I could help. I just wish I would have wheeled it a little bit while I was there.

Very interesting...to me, the same theory as bent links, and looks like the weight bias in the design makes it handle like a 60/40 set up. It seems to be very capable in droop form, but adding some clearance with a sprung set up would put it over the top I think.

Berg specific or will a shafty base work with your design? Looks tight for a tranny.

Spydermonkee has made a shafty out of a prototype Mantis super chassis. Great truck, I had the pleasure of running it at Nationals. The 2.2 will be a little small to run a tranny, anything it possible but I just don't see it fitting in that little of a chassis.
That said, it's not Berg specific. It will work with most any MOA axle. Hot racing, RC4WD, ? ?

I am genuinely intrigued by this chassis design; can't wait to see how it developes from here.

I've never considered a Berg, however...

Zoinks Scoob! That's nasty

The red background pops it nicely...now think about how sick it would look if you hit the relief areas on the chassis with some yummy Mantis Green!

What's the thickness of each plate...1/8" ?

The Super plate's look just as great. Don's still working on the hardware for them(4link mount's, tail mount, etc.)
