Just got my DNA SSS Chassis today :mrgreen:. This is the most complete chassis kit Ive got and worth every penny. Im going to spend some time tonight and tomorrow building it up. Great product here "thumbsup"

CRAP! new idea now. Looks like it handles really well on the comp. What comes with the kit? because i notice its for the AX10, but can I bolt on the R2D instead of using the Axial and your dig unit?

Here's what's included (I'm tweaking the site the next few days to add more info to each product):

Chassis sides with upper braces
Skid plate
Upper link/servo mount plates
Upper links with 8-32 studs
Lower links with 8-32 studs
Bolts, nuts, and spacers needed to do a build like mine

Working on my SSS today and was wondering about setup. How do you get the suspension softer or firmer?

Thanks Don this is a very interesting chassis.

I would think tire weight and upper link placement is about all that could be adjusted. I believe tire weight is more critical in a torsion style chassis than a spring style chassis. I think you normally run a little heavier rear weight (proportional to front weight) in a torsion style rig.

Is it comp. legal?

Pretty sure moving the torsion rods towards the outside of the axle makes the suspension stiffer and reduces articulation. Moving them towards the inside would obviously make it softer and flex more.

You can also experiment with the upper link lengths and mounting positions on the chassis to change the squat/anti-squat.

I'm sure Don has input on how to adjust the newest version.

Torsion rods in on axles makes it flex more, torsion rods out on axles lessens flex and increases stablity. Upper link geometry is crucial as well but set your flex with the torsion rods first...and then play with upper links. If you need a good starting point just follow what I did in my build (or any of the other great SSS builds floating around). Keep in mind where you place your weight will determine exactly where your upper links end up...and geometry is all about where your COG is in each direction. "thumbsup"

Hey Guys, I've sent a few e-mails to both don and solomon called and left a message.. Been a week so I'll try here now. I'm looking to get just the side plates and a blank skid so I can adapt it to my losi. Any chances I can special order?
