The first two are essentially free to those that have purchased from us before. This will be for a limited time, until the end of April. After the first 2 you'll have to pay the 50 cents each. Sorry.

Just got off the phone with the supplier. The original problem was that a box of parts on the pallet from Tamiya got lost. It was the last of Tamiya Americas stock of those parts bags. The remaining parts needed to fulfill the clod gear-case order should be shipped from Tamiya Japan soon. All of which will take additional time. We're looking at 2 weeks still, maybe more. www.rc4wd.com has tamiya gear-case kits in stock so feel free to cancel your orders with us if you don't want to wait that long and purchase from them. Sorry for the really long delay.

I am having a little problem "searching" your site for the directions for the NNCF chassis. In the paper that came with the kit it says to go to TCS site for the directions . In the search bar I put: NN Directions NN Directions NN Chassis but to find that the only page that pops up is the " This page can not be found" . Are you updateing your something? Just wanted to let you know , cause I dont want you to have peopel jumping on you about it . http://www.thecrawlerstore.com/search.asp?7=NN+Chassis Last edited by PROTOTYPE; 04-10-2006 at 09:34 PM. |

I just received my NN kit, as well as the email regarding the side plates. I wanted to say thanks for the great service, and compliment you on the packaging. Great work! On to my question (might belong in another thread) I have some side by side batteries from my racing days that I plan to use. They are close enough to the sides of the chassis to give me visions of a massive short out and ensuing electrical fire. Is there anything I should do to insulate other than shrink wrapping the packs and making sure they are securely mounted? It's probably a non-issue, or I would have seen something about this, but I wanted to check. I'll be setting up for 14" wheelbase 2.2 |

I haven't heard of any shorting out problems. But you are correct, the batteries are very close to the side plates and screws. Just make sure everything is well insulated and over time check your batteries for wear and anything that may cause a short. The batteries being securely mounted with good velcro is also important.

You could wrap electrical tape around the sides of the chassis a few times. It won't look very pretty but it will work. kevin- do you have a source/brand for this good velcro? |

Velcro brand itself is really good. Any type would do, just don't use something really cheap that would cause the battery to move around allot.

I have the same side by side packs. I bought some shrink wrap and now they are fine.

I'm thinking of running some strips of electrical tape over the battery bars before I put the shrink over them. Then just keep an eye on them for any wear to the shrink wrap, that should solve the problem.
