Are you guys also going to make up OEM style one's out of aluminum, so that us guys still running the upper wishbone can have one too. 8)

A_Jeeper 08-21-2007 11:22 PM

Are you guys planing on making ones that will work with the stock steering set up?

kevinlongisland 08-22-2007 05:57 AM

Sorry, no plans as of yet to make a stock one out of aluminum.

$25 seems a bit high. although I do understand the time and cost it takes to design and machine parts. but since a person would have to change the rear link stay, it would create more work for the customer. Although its a "custom" hobby.

Just waiting on the link mounts to be done before I order. I hate to pay multiple shipping costs.

That is a done from a solid chunk of billet aluminum, I don't think $25 seems bad.

The reason these are made is because that everyone is having to use ghetto-ish Tamiya stays bolted to the stock mount. This is a far better setup then the stock junk. I just ordered a set today and thinking now I should have ordered them for my other WK's too.

Right. I meant that the steering stay for the rear has to be moved to another location

I like these but wish they hadn't machined out so much material between the two lower mounting screws...they'd be alot stronger.

I honestly dont think you will find it possible to break these things. They are machined from 6061 billet and would take more pressure to break than the other parts of a crawler can hold up to. It doesnt have to be bullet proof to hold up, just stronger than the adjacent parts. "thumbsup"

Let us know what you think of them once you mount them up Harley!
