Just a bit of a note here....I just realized that I had been using 0.015" lexan on these skins........my next set will be using 0.030".

Notice, the skins are in perfect condition! It was the thin lexan (IIRC, 0.030") that I used that failed. I plan to use stuff that is a bit thicker on the sides next time. I've also discovered (thanks for the tip Michele ) that it is best to use a washer where screws pass through the skins.

Also, I dont know how you guys install these skins, but I have found a great way to install them and keep the bubbles out. It goes back to the days that I used to work with my dad repairing and installing AC units during the summer between school years......use a credit card!

I like to cut the skins out after appplying them to the lexan to make sure that I cut properly, so, first, after washing your hands, of course, cut out a piece of laxan big enough to apply all of the skins. Second, peel off one of the skins and hold it at the top. Gently touch the bottom of the skin to the plastic and begin applying longitudinal pressure with the credit card. Then, as you begin to lay the skin down, follow along with the card.

Continue laying down the skin and smoothing with the card. Then smooth over the skin completely.

Go over the skins until they look perfect.

Finally, sit back, have a beer and enjoy the fruits of your labor:

I know this is basic, but I hope it helps out some....
