| Flip Your Lid! Introducing the Honcho Hinge! Designed to work with the stock Honcho cage, these hinges allow you to access everything under the body without disconnecting lights or other accessories. No modifications are needed, simply bolt them on using existing hardware into existing mounting points, then remove the rear body posts. The hinge holds the body at the rear, the stock clips/posts hold the front. I have added additional holes to utilize two bolts per side if you choose. My rig has been running these for a year with only one per side without issue. Each set is $15 shipped via USPS First Class within the US. Add $5 to ship to Canada. Ordering more than one set? Each additional is $13. Note: these may not be compatible with some aftermarket bumpers. When fully open, the cage makes contact with the stock frame cap/light assembly. If you have a bumper that sticks out further than that, you will not be able to open it up all the way. Last edited by Duuuuuuuude; 01-23-2014 at 08:47 PM. |

Install instructions! Step 1: Remove one screw per side, pull the cage apart as shown. Step 2: Insert cage through the hinges, making sure the channeled portion of the hinge faces inwards. Reinstall screws in cage. Step 3: Remove the two screws that hold the frame cap/light assembly to the frame. Step 4: Remove rear body posts, place body onto frame, line up the hinges, and reinstall the bumper cap screws through the rearmost hole on each side. If you want to use a second screw to hold them on, drill through the existing hole and through the frame cap. What size hole you need depends on how you want it secured. There will be a little bit of body movement as the cage slides through the hinges. It was never enough to bother me on my rig, though I am looking for a fix for those that feel otherwise. If you are one of those people, you can reinsert the rear body posts to keep the body from shifting once you have flipped the body back down. Last edited by Duuuuuuuude; 11-20-2013 at 09:57 PM. |
