"When assembling the wheel make sure you use all 6 hub bolts. If there is a weak spot of the wheels, this is it." and the first pic you can seea hub .... has only 3 screws in the hub. haha that's funny! |

Many have run 3 screws and been fine. I am still sitting at ZERO failures on my wheels as far as I know, even with people running 3 screws. I had a hard time finding a CF that I liked in the beginning. With some of the lesser quality CF, if I ran less than 6 screws, it would be a quick death. With the CF that I use now, it may be a non issue but the point is that I could make a low quality CF survive with 6 screws but not with 3. Thats how much it mattered. I also dont think most are as hard on a rig as I am so it may be a moot point. | |

I'm with Erik on this one. The CF in his wheels is exceptional quality! I have had mine for over a year now an talk bout taking some abuse. I'm also harder on my rig then most I know. Boarder line reckless(when in a bind or tight situation).. some thing is goin to give or my rig is coming out, period! I only use an have only ever used 3 hub screws in his wheels. Great stuff Erik! |

No, you would need a DH hub so the weights fit around it.

Hmmm, a little confused here. Your wheels bolt up to both DH and SLW hubs. I thought they were the same except for the slug notches, but not so. The 6-bolt patterns are very close, but not close enough to swap them in VP wheels. So how can you fit both? Slightly oversize holes or something?

The bolt patterns are close enough that you can work the hub screws into my wheel face with just a touch of effort. To be clear, the wheels are made for an SLW hub, but can work pretty easily if you want them do with a DH hub. |

I am looking at building another AR60 sporty and I want a set of wheels that will work with different set ups. I like both wheels here Bead-lock and glue-on. The bead-lock is double the price of the glue-on so my question is this.... ...If I go with the glue style wheels, what will it take to unass the beads if I need to change the tires? Will it be beneficial to simply go with bead-locks or do the glue-on offer some versatility by removing glue. Lastly, do you still offer Hunter Orange faces? |

I am not sure to be honest. I run all beadlocks except my super and there is not much need to un glue those. If you search the tire/wheel section, you can see quite a few posts about the subject. I have even seen a product that removes glue. These guys have a Hunter Orange that I can order. Only problem is cost since I have a $25 min order, its worth while to order many wheels or get some friends that want custom colors to bring your personal cost down. G10 Colors & Textures - AKS™ |

Thanks for the fast response and the response to my message as well. I'm itching to get my crawler going. Once I choose a chassis I can afford that is - LOL By the way, will your internal weight system work with both the beadlocks and glue on? Last edited by redsawacs; 01-08-2014 at 11:44 AM. |

I figured everybody would like this news...... Price of CF wheels has dropped pretty dramatically! I have a new way of doing things and you get to reap the rewards. |

The beadlocks make the wheel wider. So, if you use a 1/2" spacers on a glue on wheel, they will be 1/2" wide. If you use a 1/2" spacer on a beadlock wheel, they will be .780 wide.
