Now that someone has a kit in there hands, shouldn't the mods start it's own sub category

Yeah it's New Years Day, I sure the Mods and Administrators are all hung over. Give them some recovery time.

I know one person on our local 1:1 site that got one. He built it yesterday and he went to tighten the wheels on and broke an axle shaft. I don't know the details. Hopefully it was a fluke defect :-( He also mentioned there were a few screws missing.

Edit: Venom is all over replacing his parts at no cost. Great service so far!!

Here's mine built...no electronics yet.

Just painted the body though built the chassis during Christmas. I work for Venom so I was able to start my build as soon as they came in.

Metallic red and black. The metallic red is almost a perfect match for the rest of the metal parts. I still need to trim the body and apply some of the decals.

Me and a mate where going to get a couple ,but living on the other side of the slowly flooding planet, parts could be an issue.
Might have to watch the sub catogary a bit first before we place orders.

Now i got this money burning a hole in my pocket, what to do!!!!!!!!!!!!?.

Broken axle wow.
I had a few screws missing too. 3- ven-8319 and 4 ven-8316 but i had some in my parts bin that worked

I am all done and was testing the snot out of it on a water fall. This thing rocks out of the gate. I like the stock performance. I see some things that I am going to replace and mod already. Pictures soon.

Oh my... On monday I'll get the kit unless the customs is closed because of the holidays. Hopefully not.

I also hope the axle shaft and missing screws were only in one kit. I'd hate to wait one week for some replacement parts because nobody sells the kit (or parts) in Finland yet (?) .

Or was he using 1 meter long shaft in the wrench .

Make sure to do a build thread...and when you take pics use your macro setting Pictures are no good if you can't see them. The other build threads are killin me not being able to see close up pics. Enjoy a musta makkara for me too ;)

are the diffs locked out of the box? or do you need the diff locking kit to lock them?

the diffs can be locked and unlocked manually via a lever on the axle case. the "remote" diff locking kit is available separately.

The locking diffs are included in the kit, though you have to manually lock/unlock them. To remotely use the locks you need to order the diff lock kit which I think are a little more than $20 including the servo. Both the front and rear lock, so if you use a radio with multiple extra channels you could lock and unlock the front or rear independently.

When you build the axels/diffs up, you'll find the first few cycles it can take a little effort, but then a few cycles into it, its nice and smooth. If you notice any small bits of flashing on the plastic where the slider piece is, this will be what causes the small bit of binding. I went through that area with a hobby knife just in case and in addition to a small bit of grease made it operate nice and smoothly.
