You can also add up to 1lb per wheel up front or all around, thats way more beneficial than any Lipo pack weight would ever be. So if you run the smallest Lipo pack you can and add weights as you like and tune the shocks for the ride height you need then you'll have a comp ready set up. An 1800 or 2100mah pack is ideal and the tranny is very efficient so run times are very long
The chassis accepts up to 4 additional servos so 2 can be dedicated to diff locking and 2 can do.... The Creeper uses a cable to lock/unlock the diffs.

looks like a good excuse to buy one of the DX5's. Thanks for the reply!

I would go with 6ch if you have the choice because there could be rear steer and other options added as well...like dig, etc....

Default Venom

This rig looks to be a great alternative to the Axial ARTR.

One quick question though, what all is going to come in the "kit", is it going to include everything in the pics so all somebody would have to add is the esc, radio and battery pack?

Yes the KIT includes all thats in the ad but no wheel weights, those are an option part set. You just need your typical running gear and your set to go.

DIG is and ability to disconnect the rear drive from the front drive. You can have 2WD(front WD) with the rear locked up or the rear can spin free. This gives the chassis the ability to climb certain difficult terrain so its more maneuverable.

Nice work Vemon. With dig and F/R selectable lockers you might just have something for the bergs!!!

Can't wait to get mine!!!

damn, that looks Badd A**. It may just give Axial a run for the $$$. I may just have to hold off on my future Axial build until next year.

To Venom: Why wait until next year for the release? It shoud be made available in by Dec. before X-mas IMO. That'll give us crawler nuts something to do X-mas day-after X-mas day- all the way thru New Years.

I like the idea but how about a power up kit to go along with it? Maybe some kind of ESC, motor, servo, battery etc other then a receiver and radio.

Make it an optional kit that can be purchased. Give the people the option to take if they so choose.

Just an opinion.

If the prices were reasonable enough then I would do both.

bergs aren't shaft driven. I'd say most crawler guys pick shafties because it propels the tires like 1:1 crawlers-meaning more realistic than having a motor stuck on each axle end though having all the weight at the axles is an advantage. Plus don't judge a new crawler just on pics and call it junk. It may be the next best thing next to Axials.

This whole rig looks awesome and has potential for challenging axial for the 2.2 title. One thing I see no one mentioning, is there VC drive system. The ad states "High strength steel drive joints and steel/plastic composite drive shafts for toughness and reliabilty." I think I found its weak link, steel/plastic composite axle shafts. Snap ,crackle ,pop. The venom creeper.

Still rather have my axial over that. I wouldn't compare an axial to that.
Venom's sorry attempt at a crawler. Do they know torque twist is bad , I guess not. Shock mount's affixed to the top of the axle. What is that?

i already see the mods for something that is already great. i would line the skids(axle) with teflon sheet, the usual backward tire, lipo plate, and that's it. the whole truck is pretty much perfect. i love the shock design. this thing has so much damn potential. tax return money is gonna buy me this one.

Axles are sweet. Price is good. Body looks weird to me. Wish it was out before X-mas.:-( I would ask Santa for a red one. I like the shocks. Shock setup and links are different but could be good could be bad dunno until I get one.
