Yesterday I broke the stub axle on the rear right where the pin goes through for the hex..

I've gone ahead and ordered a new one, but then I got to wondering if it's covered under warranty. I can supply pics if needed..

Thanks..

it won't be covered, it was most likely caused by the set screw coming loose and sliding out of the stub axle on one side, which means if would have been your fault for not checking it when doing regular maintenance.

but if it was a stub axle that was not properly heat treated then maybe.

Just got off the phone with Jason from Customer Service as I broke the front driveshaft today. This time it was on the ball end of the long shaft..

He's sending me out a supply of axles and stubs

He couldn't do anything with my order from this morning as it already shipped out!!

BTW.. The skidplates just came in yesterday.. Mine is on it's way.

That's what I call great customer service

well i guess i need to sign in on the roster for the "broken creeper club"
put a creeper together for the kids to play with thinkin it'll be cool for a putt putt rig, wel ten minutes into them rollin around DAD somethins wrong!
ok let's see whats up! E-clips on the shock shafts bent and shafts came out,OK easy fix, run two, 20 mins go by and i'm thinkin hell if that's it cool, then DAD! ah hell what now? rear driveshaft broken at the ball, ok threw an axial d/s in,run 3,20 min later DAD!!!!!!! Holy sh%t kid what the heck are you doing? front driveshaft broken same place as rear!threw in another axial shaft, Ran fine except now there's a clicking coming from the front axle,oh yeah BTW had to shrink wrap the pins in so they quit walking out!
How many other things can go wrong??????????
Is there some tougher Driveshafts for this thing or do i just swap it all over to axial stuff?

645 st servo

Just put those driveshafts on today after breaking the axle. Haven't had a chance to run them yet... I was having issues keeping the back shaft on at the axle as the set screw was stripped out.. Nothing really broke, but I figured that while I had it down, I might as well get those replaced..

Just finished up my venom crawler. Its only had indoor duties, but this weekend the outdoor abuse begins... I had no issues building the kit, and no issues with the parts bag. No missing parts and good instructions. My only mild issue was I had to chase out the threads on the driveshaft locking set screws, all of them did not bottom in the threads. OTHERWISE this is a rocking kit. Looking forward to keeping up with the updates here.

No it is not discontinued. Tower may have discontinued it from their inventory but the creeper is running strong. Venom just released the dig unit two or three weeks ago, which makes the creeper a solid crawler. I plan on getting the new dx3e (99 bucks)for the three position 3rd channel soon as the dx3.0 just doesn't cut it.

When i called tower they said it was being discontinued but my lhs said it wasnt being discontinued only that tower wasnt gonna carry it anymore thats why i asked on here . Half the time the people on here know more about whats going on than the shops and distributors

Default Shocks

I spoke with Venom via e-mail and I was told that my shocks seem to be molded wrong. They suggest that I buy a new set, rather than sending me new ones. I dont understand how they can tell me that they seem to be molded wrong, and then tell me to buy new ones, rather than send me a new pair. I mean, it is not my fault that they were molded wrong. Anyone know a place to get a full set cheap?
