Default Rear "tierods" hanging up and Wheel vents

Ok so I am almost done with my build. Just need paint. But I did take it out and roam around without the body on and found it hung up a few times on the bumpers and the red rods in the very rear. I don't care about rear steer. Any ideas or parts that would make that more of a straight axle without tie rods?

How do the tires perform with holes drilled in the rim? What size? They are good and boucy without I see.

Fwiw, I had a bag of screws missing so I called and spoke with Jason, I drove up to venom hq and even got some axles as he suggested that I tighten them up before I left, sure enough, two bad ones. Thumbs up for venom customer service again. Thanks Jason too.

Got a 55t motor while I was there as well.

I would make a set of alloy lockoutīs like on my WK

To me it looks like the venom axles are similar in design to the WK and AX-10
so a set of lockoutīs is my best suggestion

I heard Chris, the R&D guy runs with holes in the wheels, I am going to try that, won't be so bouncy then. and be close to the softness of my panthers?

I personally did 2 holes about 3/16" per wheel, just behind the spokes so you can't see from the outside. you might want to start smaller and see how you like it. that size worked fine for me!

I used a 1/8th in. drill bit and drilled one hole per wheel. If you want more control over the air flow use a smaller bit and go up from there as you like.

Cool, thanks. Too much snow again to test anything right now (and no indoor possibility), but maybe in a couple months I'll be able to hit some rocks again :-D.

regarding the rear hanging up , there is a good idea over at ckrc I copied until I can get a rear lockout it will work, just not as clean a look as I want but better than getting hungup so much.

I'll be interested to see how the updated geometry in the stage 2 kit effects things. And how / if the dig will work with it.
