This is the first RC crawler Ive ever had so I can't really compare it too any of the others. It's been more of a father son project. My son is always intrigued when where out wheelen and some one pulls out an RC crawler when where stoped.

What I can pass on is..............
While the locking diffs sound cool they really don't operate that great. Maybe it's just mine but the rear won't engage what so ever and the front will lock but is always poping out.
Another issue I have with mine is the pins in the drive shafts are always walking out.
One of my shock bodys has a bad thread cast cause the ajustment nut that is ontop of the outer spring ajusts it's self (The folks at Venom are sending me another one as i type).

Other than that I and my sone are really enjoying this little crawler

Ya I do I mounted the servo horn on the inside of the chassis in order to protect it. And I'm runnin a venom vr3t radio and I love it. Honstly I can't tell a huge difference from locked to unlocked in my turning radius. But it's a cool function non the less and I haven't had any issues with it locking or unlocking I just had to take my time to set it up. I can show pics tomorrow if you would like

I haven't gotten to drive mine yet since I'm still waiting on my motor to get here, but it was a great kit to build and well worth the price.

I run Eritex Comp Heavy wheels so no added weight up front as of now,,possibly a bit of weight later..I am still lighter than some Losi's and Axial's and it climbs very well,,I switched out the stock tires and foams for my own foams and White Dot Rovers. I did the spring mod in the lockers to lock them permanently, but the parts are still removable. I also switched out the stock shocks for 4" Losi's with white springs and I am currently using 25wt oil f/r. I will find out tomorrow if the new Losi shocks are adjusted right. Gonna sipe the Rover's tomorrow probably.

I fully back the Creeper.

I'll agree, for an "out of the box" its a really good vehicle. It has a ton of articulation whicj is good for a new driver. As you become a better driver you'll learn that a stiff axle and not as much articulation is the way to go. I'm on the fence about which I should have bought as my 1st. The Venom or the Axial.

1st BIG QUESTION...does YOUR hobby shop stock parts for it?

After you figure that out it'll be easier.

I bought my Venom, used off of Ebay. Had I know what I do now....I'd have gone with an Axial because of the after market support. There WAY more option parts for the Axial. WAY MORE!!!

I'm saving for an MOA rig now. That, IMO, is the way to go.

i like mine even if something broke or doesnt work how it suposed to or needs adjustment everytime i drive it, i drove it yesterday for an hour or so (first time that long) before snapping the rear drive shaft.
i was building a wheely crawler at the same time and i've ride it more often and harder than the snake so far with no complaint, but like i said, i like it anyway
