Stock gearing with a 18t Novak goat crawler system. Works awesome with lots of torque and crawling ability and wheel speed to boot. Right now I use a 7 cell 3000 mAh in the battery tray, but will soon be making my own batteries to mount up front to lower the COG.

I use the stock gears, 55 turn Axial, with a 2cell 2200 lipo. Tons of torque and plenty of speed.

Integy 55 turn, stock gearing, 6-cell 3300mah nimh

lots of torque but not enough wheel speed for me, but I have a full set of pinions in the mail to fool around with.

I might pick up something around 17 turn, so i can set it up for bashing etc.

the torque is amazing!

Sweet set ups.. Well I reprogrammed the sidewinder and updated the firmware.. Still having the same issues. It wont even crawl up the couch without full throttle. And the speed control just makes noise like it is struggling. I have a mx-3fhss receiver, and it will drop the throttle randomly.. The steering still will work but nothing else. Then the lights will act like it should be moving but no cigar.... Do I just have it set up wrong?

I have the Novak Rooster crawler and the Novak 55 turn motor. My battery is a Li-po 11.1 1500 E-flight. Works great, tons of low power.

I run a tekin fx-r with the stock gears and a 45t tekin motor. I love it, lots of torque and good wheel speed. $100 combo

Check your throttle EPA settings on your radio. You can set them at 100% then reprogramm your speed control and go from there.

Same here except mine is a 55t motor, had I know it needed soft wear to fine tune it i probably wouldent have went with it.

I am running a birdman 27t, moped esc, and 6.6v 2cell. 12t pinion, torque wheel speed and decent run times.

I just got my Creeper all assembled & going!! It is my first crawler, but I've had other R/Cs for many years.

I chose the Trinity 65t motor and put in an old Novak Reactor ESC that I had. I have only gotten to run it a few times so far but it seems to have plenty of torque! It climbs up undercut ledges just fine. It is kinda slow just driving around or to the next obstacle, but that could probably be changed with gearing (still stock).

Love the Creeper so far!

Question Pinion

Still waiting for all the pieces to get here, :-(
but I recieved the Novak Goat Crawler ESC with the 21.5 motor today

I have read that there is a 15 tooth pinion in the Creeper kit, can I use that one on this motor or should i get another one

thanks in advance

Novak GOAT 18.5T equiv crawler system. 7.4v 4000mah 20c lipo and a 7.4v 4500mah 20c lipo. OEM gearing... good to go, so easy to control at low speed and mad power.

Kyosho Lemans 600E (brushed, 15 years old, and as far as I can tell 27T), stock pinion, Novak Rooster Crawler, 7.2V.

It lacks some low speed control but it has enough torque to move along yet not break the drivetrain, and I get good power and wheelspeed when I need it. My friend got a Venom 55T and it lacks wheel speed to push itself over hard obstacles but has better low speed control.

I plan on getting a Holmes Puller 7T next winter with a Sidewinder ESC.

slvrf150fx4 - "I have the Novak Rooster crawler and the Novak 55 turn motor. My battery is a Li-po 11.1 1500 E-flight. Works great, tons of low power."

Running the same setup and very pleased, tons of low end! I have the 2s 7.4v 1250mah li-po and can run 45+mins.

slvrf150fx4, how do you have the 11.1 volt pack setup? I looked at running the 11.1v 3s packs, because I have a few from my planes, but the novak rooster crawler is only rated for a 2s lipo.
