Default I punished the creeper today...

We took out both of the creepers today, We ran a full battery pack (3 plus hours) through both of them and were VERY hard on them.....and no broken parts!! Well almost I did break one link mount but it was totally self inflicted after a 6 foot cliff drop right on the rear tire! We even got bored after awhile and had an all out demo derby for about 15 mintues bullying each other off cliffs and rolling each other down hills.

Here is a shot that I drove into (on accident) and drove out of! I slamed it into reverse and it dropped off and landed on the tires and kept on running

Very good day for the creepers!

Good to hear, I think we are slowly weeding the issues out and getting them corrected.

Agreed, I was not very nice to this thing today, I had it bound up hard at least a dozen times....hard enough to break axles or any other weak links.

On a side note I have pulled the locker twice now and have yet to see any real wear on the nylon washer that holds my locker in place, I have not seen any slipping what so ever with the locker ethier.

I couldnt believe that when it happened, I was side hilling the opposite direction when the driver rear tire slipped off the ledge and drug the whole thing off the ledge, it swung around on the tire and just hung there, So I took a picture and then grabbed reverse

Thats amazing, I'm so jealous you have that to dive on. I have nothing like that here in the midwest.

Sweet I'm glad to hear a report like this because I just ordered mine the other day. It was a hard decission to go with this rig.

I have noticed in some videos that it seems to lift the right front wheel while climbing steep inclines is this the way this rig handles or is it due to poor setup.

most likely poor setup. I can stick mine up a 70 degree angle with all four wheels on the ground. Then again i run a droop setup. Go to the venom creeper picture thread and look at my setuip, (and others) and you can get an idea what it takes to get rida the torque twist.
One thing that i think got rid of alot of toarq twist was running my upper 4 links outboard.

1\4elliptic toy,

My HB rovers just showed up today. are you running the foam that came with them or something diffrent?

I'm wondering if the memory foam that came the creeper would be good in the Rovers.

I run the hb's also. I run the memory foam from the stock tires in them, plus a little of the foam from the hb's on the inside of the memory foam. If you run just the memory foam from the stock tires, it leaves a void in the tire and it looks like you are running on flat tires, plus you won't really realize the benefit of the oversize tires if you run just the memory foam because it will sit so low. I added about a half inch from the hb foams to the inside of the stock memory foams to take up the void.

i am running the stock foams with a small ring of memory around that, I might beef up the sidewall too with a half ring of memory...remember I am running a full pound in each front tire though.

True, but mips are waaaay more than you will ever need, You wont have any issues with the traxxas stuff, and they are cheaper than mip's

My failures have all been in the metal parts, not anything plastic, My thoughts are that several of the steel parts got over heat treated, not just the axles and the drive pins. The breakage in the drivelines were all under normal use, nothing hardcore just normal wheeling.
