Default Rear steering?

Anyone setup rear steering on the Creeper? What does it take to do?

All it takes is to buy the replacement parts for the steering and another high torque servo. On your radio you will need either a stick radio or your going to need a 3CH radio and a y-harness (it will be full time rear steer) If you use our VR3T pistol grip radio you can mix the rear steering with a very low cost radio system.
If you have a stick radio you can steer the rear when you want to.

ok, got rear steer set up, and let me say, I LOVE IT!
it was really easy to setup, just conect the linkage and servo mount and a little tweaking with the radio. It makes crawling a whole new ball game!! Ill get pics soon

Default Might have to do that...

Ok, that sounds great. Easy and I am using a 3ch with mixing. I will be able switch from regular to crab steering with a fick of a switch.

Looking forward to the pics. No bearing problems here (yet)...

Thanks

I just got mine all set up and going, pretty cool. I had to turn my EPA's down cause this thing had such a good turning radius allready.
I do need some help though. When im slightly bound up with both wheels turned the whole rig locks up. Can't turn, can't go foward or back, nothing. When I pick it up the servo's self center, wheels straighten up and I can get it to function again. Any one know whats going on?

Are you running a seperate BEC? if not What's the rating on your ESC's BEC? some(most) ESC BEC's are not high enough current rated to handle 2 high torque servo's... its sounds like your BEC can't handle the current of the 2 servo's and it's shutting down... thats why your throttle also goes away. It's ALWAYS best to run a seperate BEC on crawling rig's... these are the best i've used.

If you use Spektrum you can just set the rear steering up on the third channel of a dx3r. There is a three position thumb switch that works great for rear steering. If you need detailed instructions send me a pm.

just ordered steering kit
Hope to get some pictures earlier than the guys already running rear steering.

I have Airtronics MX3FHSS radio and it has 2position 3rd channel.
Anyone knows of a gadget that can activate and disactivate Yharness by that 2position switch?
