Default Diff locks - this seems to work real smooth

Now that I've finished building my 6ch pistol-grip Tx (KO Mars with DX6i innards - see thread in electronics forum), I've turned my attention back to building my Creeper.

I bought a remote diff lock kit a couple of weeks ago, but wasn't happy with how it worked. Mounting the servo on the axle seems to be a popular idea, so that's what I've done.

The servo is a Hitec HS-55, held in place with servo tape. The linkage is 2mm threaded steel pushrod, with 2mm airplane fittings. The operating arm is a scrap of 2mm carbon fibre with a 4mm brass bush rivetted in place. The spring is from a ballpoint pen.
The mount is cut and bent from 1.3mm aluminium sheet.

The only parts left from the Venom diff lock kit are the 2 screws and the sliding cover.

After a little tweaking of the Tx EPAs, it's really smooth - no binding or flexing, and no nasty noises from the servo.
Photos show the rear axle - the front will also have a tray for the LiPo:
