|  Integy HD universal drive shafts for the AX-10 on the creeper!!
I got these in the mail today. They are VERY nice. They dont fit off the bat, you gotta take about 3/4 of an inch off the FEMALE shaft, then make a little 'flat' spot for the grub screw to catch. The only thing about these is they dont come with the 4mm grub's needed to attach them to the crawler. A quick trip tho the LHS and they hooked me up with some grub's. I wish I could get pics, but our camera just died. Maybe i can get one with the web cam later.

Can you provide a link to these shafts? I'd like to take a look at them. I just made a set of drivelines out of steel that will handle any amount of torque

WOU hopefully this will help. (Sorry had to use my web cam...) Start off by removing the end of the female shaft ( 2.0 hex )  Now you need to measure 3/4 of an inch and cut the shaft.   once you do this, grind it down till the end is flat. now look at the piece you cut off, there is a little notch for the 2.0 grub screw to catch so the shaft doesnt just spin, take your dremel and grind a notch like the one on the piece of shaft you cut off. Now just put the end of it back on and lock tight the 2.0 grub screw in there. It should only extend this far:  Now your done! Put your rubber boots on the ends of them and install on the creeper! LMK if you have any more ?'s.  |

the problem that i keep having is that i keep stripping the set screws, then if i don't tie them that much then the shafts get loose under heavy load, if i lock tie them, they would strip when i need em off again, what are you guys doing to prevent this? thanks. |

I torque mine down pretty hard. Are you stripping the threads or the inside of the screw? A good set of hex wrenches is always good to have. I use these since i got my creeper (april) and so far not one stripped head.... http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...-15-20-25-30mm you could also try a more "flat" and deeper notch. |

ozpall the only thing i could see it making that platform for the screw to sit in deeper and flatter. WOU and il- no problem. |

just an FYI. my roomate has a creeper and he bought the same drive lines and they didnt make it a full day. they look nice feel nice but they didnt hold up. plus you do have to make then fit

i just recently made a set of steel drivelines that would out perform those integy shafts anyday anytime. i personally dont like anything that integy has to offer.in aluminum hop-ups that is. i am running an integy 55t motor in my creeper...so i do give integy some money.but i wouldnt buy their drivelines. aluminum doesnt have as much strength as steel...not only that.weight is great!

I know me+integy=bent/broken parts. But I am still using these an no problem at all.... They were also pretty cheap compared to other options.
