| Excellent! Even a mutton head like me can set it up ... so it's pretty simple to setup. |

My little girl and I headed up the mountain for some good old fashioned fun ... I was really amazed at how well she actually drove for her first time with a real R/C. She has a little Maisto 1/18 scale Hx Hummer one we got for her from Walmart, but when we got up there it didn't have the Oomph to go more than an inch on any sort of incline or rough ground. Looks like I know what to do with my old VMG now. enjoy the chaos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJY6un2_QXk Warning ... there may or may not be sound as apparently some of the soundtrack was copyrighted Last edited by Rockfrog; 01-04-2010 at 10:41 PM. |

Great looking crawler. One question...are you using regular nimh cells on your front axles? Thinking about moving my batteries to the front also. |

Thanks. Yeah, they are standard 4600mAh sub-C's two on either side of the servo staggered and then the remaining two on the rear axle. it also means I need less weight on the wheels. |

I have recently got a LOT of lead from a local tire shop and fired 150g 5oz in each front and 75g 3oz in each rear. The creeper now feel a bit heavy as I too have 6 Nimh cells on there but have them all on the front axle. As this is about 250g 11oz I am now thinking about sending 2 cells to the rear. I am keen to hear what you have in your wheels. | |

| New Body! New Pics!
So, I teased ya .. now here it is. About all I have lkeft is to remake the wind guard and inner fenders. The lights up top work (they are on in one of the pics) and I'll soon be adding headlights and rock lights (have a custom Rx controller board coming). I'll probably continue the camo pattern around the new aluminum rear quarters but I'm still deciding. Made new Aluminum side panels and of course the new hood. made a new roof panel and mounted the 3 racing lights (currently running off 2 AA's under the cover). in the rear view pic you can see how I've mounted the 'Tamiya Tool' I used 1/4" coax cable keepers and the tool snaps right in. It hold pretty good - it was there the whole time during that last video I posted up - I guess it'll do. on with the eye candy - I threw the old stockers on just because i still like the way they look. I just threw them on 'cause they look better on the rig than what actually works. You could say I've finally found a use for the stock tires - show tires. I take them off when the battery gets plugged in though - then it's back to the SLW's and Rock Claws.

My lohs guy told me to order a ckrc lowering kit and i did but my buddy went straight out of the book. there not much diferance well I guess there is a little. any ideas ya got i be reading up on them. thanks pero

Pro-line tuber chassis. Drums? I'm guessing you mean the stock beadlock rings. I just de-anodized them. the suspension is similar to a stage 2 kit due to the chassis and my battery choice. but it's just a homebrewed version. I still need to limit the suspension as there's far too much travel. and I've dumped the dig (put it in my Frankenbooger comper - but that's another thread once i figure out where it actually belongs) and have a Rx light kit to throw in now. |

Good build. Nice paint scheme. I like the flat paint. BTW, What did you use to de-anodize the rims? |
