For comps for now, an Elite 1500 2/3a 7cell split battery pack. You can custom order them for cheap at cheapbatterypacks.com

Ahhh...those batteries are about 1/3 the weight of my 4000 elites. Think I am going to order a pack and see how my crawler handles with it on the rear instead of my heavier nicads.

That is a very nice rig!! Can you post up some close up pictures of the front axle and how you put the batteries on there and also what battery pack you use?

Yep chassis is not made ethier. Quite a few of DNA parts show up on the for sale section so you can still find them around. The SS, or sligshot is a great setup.
