LSXEric's 2010 comp truck Sorry I haven't posted this earlier. I've had it for 3 weeks and built it a week and a half ago. 2nd kit I've ever done, and it was a lot of fun! Here's some specs, pics and a vid of it in the last comp. Broke the front locker, but that's an easy fix. Specs: Truck: Venom Creeper red Motor: 35t Lathe ESC: Sidewinder Servo: CKRC wiggle (200oz in) Battery: 10 cell Elite 1500 Nothing has been modded except the sikds weren't added, rear knuckles flipped, panther cougers (6oz of weight in front), and traxxas springs in the back. Haha! Yea cougers will help your truck tremendosly! Its still partly because I was in 3wd remeber. |
Some Christmas goodies to come. 2 of these for no 3wd action anymore! http://i326.photobucket.com/albums/k422/LSXEric/FLM.jpg For the dig and to get rid of the huge traxxas 2 channel one http://i326.photobucket.com/albums/k...nelreciver.jpg http://i326.photobucket.com/albums/k...c/venomdig.jpg http://i326.photobucket.com/albums/k.../venomskid.jpg It seems as the hot tire in our area is Rovers, so hopefully sedonas will work better! http://i326.photobucket.com/albums/k...ic/Sedonas.jpg |

Well got my first bit of parts for christmas. FLM lockers, reciver (thanks jay), and rovers. The wheels are not there to stay, just for now. I did however give these lockers the full test, and broke the front driveshaft! Whoohoo!:D At least the lockers work well. Still waiting on my CFX chassis, Hitec 7995, R2 dig tranny, and now driveshafts are on order. http://i326.photobucket.com/albums/k...2-26162241.jpg http://i326.photobucket.com/albums/k...2-26162258.jpg MUCH smaller reviver. http://i326.photobucket.com/albums/k...a_Texas_US.jpg http://i326.photobucket.com/albums/k...2-27114649.jpg http://i326.photobucket.com/albums/k...2-27114722.jpg http://i326.photobucket.com/albums/k...2-27114800.jpg http://i326.photobucket.com/albums/k...a_Texas_US.jpg |
get yourself some traxxas hardened yokes with stampede shafts, i been givin him hell and had no problems |
Maybe later on, but for now I'm settleing with axial shafts with metal yokes. Only problem I've had with them before is poping off, but driveshaft rings solve that. |
Eric, get out your dremmel and groove those Rovers! |

Hey Jeremy, I thought about the idea of the axial tranny in place of the R2 and with my crazy liltle mind, the R2 is going in the scaler, and axial out of that in here. Run sportsman for the first comp until I can afford a dig for it."thumbsup" |
Well I Don't have dig for mine yet so we will be running Sportsman together. |
Hey krazy you going to run the stock tranny with Lances anti-venom chassis? |
Looks good, yea I tore up the driveshafts right away when out testing & bashing. I then upgraded to the Traxxas DS & Steel Yokes and have not had any issues since. I noticed you had a pic of the Venom Dig, but then in next post you said waiting for R2 Dig Tranny.... why not use the Venom one, just curious?? The 1pc skid definately makes a difference surprisingly, since I just picked one up as well. Chris |
