Default New creep(er)

Hey guys!
I'm brand new here and also to a Crawling world. After 2 mos. of reading and watching you-tube ! It came down to....Venom !
But I'm a little confuse:?!! Is there more than one kit or a couple different ones.I'v seen different prices on what(look to me)to be the same kit !! I'v already have the DX3S radio and sr3300t receiver,so all I need is a good ESC , a motor and a servo !!
How good is the Novak Rooster system ? Is the Goat that much better ? I'm thinking Hitec servo !
Thank you in advance

1 kit, 2 colors. They go for around $130-$140 now-a-days. I run the rooster with the 55T motor and geared it for a little more speed on 2S and a couple other mods that I did my self. Tires are a must for this kit. A servo with at least 200oz in needed or you wont have any fun at all.

Just the 2 kits and the only difference is the color. Ordered a green kit from RPP for $119 last week, they had a sale going.

I've been running the Novak Rooster Crawler/55T combo in my red one for the last 6 months. I ran a 17t pinion on 7 cell elite 1500 NiMh packs and the 8.4v was just enough wheelspeed for me. I'm tearing it down to install the Dig unit and I'm going to try a 35t out. I really like the Rooster but the brake will take a bit of getting used to. It's not a normal drag brake like all the others. When you let off the throttle it essentially locks up the brakes, no coasting. With my setup it holds on inclines almost as well as the new worm gear axles.

I've been running the Hitec 5645 and I haven't had anything to complain about. The Rooster crawler puts out enough amperage to run it.

The rooster crawl is brushed and the goat is brushless.
