Default Lower shock cap....

Any of you guys know what the thread size is on the lower shock caps? I had one in my kit that had some bunged up threads, Venom sent a replacement, but the replacement appears to have shallow cut threads. I have ruled out the FLM shock body as being the problem. At this point just looking to chase the threads in the cap with a bottom tap. Looks like it could be a 12x1.5 or 12x1.75?

UPDATE:

FLM offered to make it work, but IMO it is not there problem as I find nothing inconsistent with their product. I feel that venom will resolve this issue, but still have not had any feedback from Jason.

The information from FLM is that it is non-standard thread pitch @ .7mm? Seems a little course to what I see, but still not FLM's problem.

The jacked thing about it.... is that these lower caps will fit the Venom composite shock bodies as those threads will compensate for irregularities.

So I'm dead in the water till this runs it's course.

:-(

This pic shows the original problem with the original lower cap. You can see that the threads are incomplete at the bottom.

This pic is the replacement lower cap.... that is as far as the cap threads on the FLM shock body. The other three shocks are assembled and I have tried those lowers on this FLM shock body with no problem...

It looks to me that the lower cap that you show in your picture might be tapered, and thats why it won't thread on all the way. Is venom sending you a new lower cap.

They are sending out cap number two... and I hope that resolves it! Should be here today or tomorrow.
