I have to agree with the positive comments..I have been really abusing mine since it has been running. i bash it every day as i have built a course in my garage, drivewaya nd take it with me everywhere in case I feel the need to try it out on some road side rocks...

I did the real minor stuff. FLM lockers, heatshrink, traxxas drive shafts. Took my time assembling it and I havent broken anythign yet. prob a serious 16~18hrs worth of bashing on it...its tough rig.

I'm going to be nice. They have 10+ pair in stock. Google is pretty easy to use if you know how to register, post, reply to any forum.

I don't think anyone is taking it personally. I just think it's a bit much to label it a poor product because one person out of (insert number here) has a bad experience.

Good luck with getting it sorted out.

its no different any where else , someone heard some thing that someone
else said . next thing you know ,the story is blown WAYYYYYYY out of
proportion. i have the creeper , i love the truck!!!!!! i have not broke any
thing yet , but are you going to seriously tell me that axial, xtm, and others
do not break parts? if so your full of crap!!!as far as the drive shaft's go ,if
you have been into r/c's at all you would have heard of mip. they make
upgrade drive shafts for all kind's of r/c applications. they have the exact
same design as the venom!! they hold up good.(i have them on several of my truck's).
the crawlers have a lot more torque than other r/c's so thats
why they have an issue with pin's . imo.!! so as far as durability is concerned , i
would give the creeper an "A" . just my .02 .

I agree with the others, the cv's are a weak point

If it breaks though it makes a good excuse for upgrades

True it does need a bit of work but for what it costs its really worth it. Fix the cvd problem with the pins and driveshafts. Cheap and easy way to start for cheap.

At about $100 bucks I am thinking about picking one up just because I have an itch to build a kit. I may use it as a basher when my cousin comes over, but for the most part I would leave it stock. No plans for making a comp rig out of it because I already have one.

Other than swapping out the stock driveshafts for some traxxas units, anything else for just occasional use? Also, is the remote diff lock worth it? Being able to unlock the diffs when the cousin uses it may be nice to keep it from breaking.

It is not isolated to this thread alone, I see many folk using so many other brand parts and so called after-market parts that I begin to wonder what is going on.

I have a modded Creeper and the main mod is the Chassis plates and links.
I did new plates to give me the adjustment options and the links are lengthend and shortened originals. I have a 60/40 thing going on.

This is all with original Trans, shafts, shocks, axles, cvd's, link ends, gear and hot glue lockers. This thing is an absolute weapon on the rocks.

No Dig or rear steer or any wild mods. Just good suspension geometry and a lot of stick time on the rocks.

The Venom Creeper is a good crawler with a bit of work in it.
