Rear steering on venom Has anyone done the rear steering on the creeper?? I was thinking of just putting spools in the front and rear and adding rear steering to compensate. If you have done it I wouldnt mind knowing what you did, maybe see some pics of it. |
Rear Steering Look at the thread listed below from another member. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/venom-creeper/186162-rear-steering-up-running.html |
I just finished putting rear steer on my venom tonite. I got the steering rods and servo plate off of eBay and I had a spare servo. You are going to need a 3 channel controler. Set up is easy, just build the rear the same as the front. It sure makes it easy to get around in tight places |
Yeah.. Are you running a spool or full lock front and rear?? |
I'm locked front and rear. |
Oh ok thats what im wanting to do.. Do you have any pics of your rear steer set up?? |
Let me see if I can figure out how to post pics. When you set it up it should look like your front axle |
Yeah I was looking at it today. Looks like the servo mounting plate another servo, steering link and the longer bolt to bolt it to the knuckle. Is that sound about like what you did?? |
I did 4ws for about a week and got bored with it and took it off. It makes crawling too easy. |
Oh really.. It made it that easy.. I just figured it would help if you had both the front and rear locked all the time.. You runnin a spool.. or fully locked?? |

Ok.. Yeah ive seen alot of people runnin those. I was gonna put a spool in the fron and rear. Then put in the rear steering to compensate for the loss of turn radius. I figured it would be better than running like a dig set up. But your saying that it isnt? |
