My new RC solutions chassis I saw this chassis at my LHS and figured I could make it fit my Venom. It came out good, and out performs my sons stock creeper (other than rovers) that I use as a base to compare. The best part is I dont have to buy or paint anymore bodys Let me know what you think? http://lh3.ggpht.com/_jPohukCM6qU/S0...4/IMG_1882.JPG http://lh5.ggpht.com/_jPohukCM6qU/S0...4/IMG_1877.JPG http://lh4.ggpht.com/_jPohukCM6qU/S0...4/IMG_1885.JPG http://lh4.ggpht.com/_jPohukCM6qU/S0...4/IMG_1886.JPG |
Look sweet "thumbsup"(I think !) Howbout bigger pics  |
Yeah sorry I dont know why they came out so small. Computers arent my friend:-( |
how much moding did u have to do for tht |
I only had to re-drill one hole on each side to mount the skid plate to the new chassis, but I did have to play with links and shock mounting alot to get everything to work correctly. I still need to go to a smaller 3 cell lipo and mount it on the front axle due to the loss of the battery tray. It all came together very well, almost eliminated torque twist and climbs much steeper angles without wanting to go over backwards |
Looks awsome man thts a first on the venom I think way to think out of ther box and do sum a lol diffrent from every one els and if u only want to run 2s lipo ckrccrawler.com has 1300 mah on sale for 19.00"thumbsup" |
What's the name of the chassis? Is is for an AX10? |
Yes it was for a Ax10 and it is from RC Solutions I dont know what they call it I bought it from my local RC shop |
Bigger Pictures |
I am really liking that steering arm setup you have. Could you explain that a bit more? Any excessive play? |
It is actually a section of my old chassis cut to bolt on the knuckle and works very well. No binding no slop and has way more steering throw then stock due to the servo arm not hitting the servo body. |
something like that doesn't add a lot of top weight? All aluminum and plastic? New to crawling so trying to get ideas for a 'body.' Looking more towards a roll cage or tube chassis. |
It is all aluminum, but is designed for a low CG and is very light. Comes in much lighter than a tube chassis but a little more than stock chassis with a body. |

why no front drive shaft? |
good eye "thumbsup" Broke the front shaft on the rock in the picture. I replaced the stock ones with 3raceing aluminum ones and they seem to be holding up |
