Default Bec ??

I'm running Novak Rooster and 55t with Hitec 5645 servo on my Creeper. How important is it to run BEC with this set up? If it is....What kind of BEC do you guys use ?
Sorry I'm new at this !!
Thanks Guys

With the Novak rooster crawler ESC it has a built in 5 amp/ 6 volt BEC so there no need for an external BEC.

I wouldnt run it without one because you are not getting everything out of your servo that you can. Right now im using a castle bec which is good because it is adjustable but you can pick up a cheap hobbywing ubec off ebay for about $8 shipped, which ive used also and it does fine. Its your choice really. I didnt see any benefits with the ccbec over the hobbywing bec besides adjustability.

Why are you confused, if you want to waste money buy an external BEC.

I ran a rooster crawler for 2 years with a JR 9100T steering servo and a Hitec 225MG dig servo with a 2200 25C 2S lipo with zero problems.

Even the guys that run bergs with CCBEC's only ramp them up around 6 volts, the reason being that most run Tekin FXR's and when you go to a 3S lipo it ramps the BEC down so you have to run an external BEC.

I was running my hitec HS5955TG and a HS225MG off my rooster with no issues. I'd say your ok with the internal one for now, if your comping and want a little extra insurance, $20 for a cc bec programmed to 6v would be a good idea but the internal one will do fine.

Good call Lowe's48...have the same esc and was unsure about using a bec. Guess I'll just stick with the one in esc for now.
