Just make some of your own delrin links. They out perform any other material.

You just buy some 5/16 delrin rod from mcmaster, then get some drill link bushings (look in the vendor section for tools) then cut and drill!

I made my own delrin links (straight) and am very happy. 2.5mm drill and 3mm tap and made a centering jig for drilling on center that works great. There is a vendor selling a drill guide for this very thing for under 10 bucks.

Home Depot or your local nuts and bolts shop.

Very durable, can have some flex though ......but doesnt seem to affect the truck at all......next to no drag on the rocks makes it far superior to aluminum links IMO.

I think you guys are a little wako. The stock lower links on the CPR are great. They may have missed the bullseye with the uppers, but they are damn close. Changing out the nice z bend links for a straight delrin link because of the friction coeficient? Nutz! The amount of area contacting rocks on the lower links is negligible. If you were to tell me of the nice transmission skid you made out of delrin I would be on par with you as that is a place that gets a lot of surface contact with the rocks. Not to mention that the aluminim is pretty slippery itself, its not like they are made of rubber.

Have to agree to disagree... Aluminum catches on everything and won't slide easily over rocks. I would focus on a better skid design before links though..

You can make bent delrin links if you choose.

Experiment with delrin links, and then try and say we are "wako" for making delrin links apposed to keeping the stock links.

Stole this pic from kennyj .
As you can see these links scrape the ground. If you think these alum links are better than nice delrin links I hate to say it but I'm dead sure your wrong. And If you buy XIRTIC links they do NOT bend at all. Best links on the market today.

Do you have a link for the XIRTIC lower links? I would be interested in them. I would like to put delrin links on my truck, but seem to be having a hard time locating the material. Where is a good place to buy delrin rod, or the pre-made delrin links?
