I have run both of these and prefer the first one.

I have rooted far more expensive servos and have yet to kill either of these.
My buddy has a CK as is a lot rougher than me, has not yet killed his Towerpro either.

There are many options open to you as far as servos go.
Just make sure you get a strong metal geared one. 10 kg/cm is my minimum.

I was not so lucky with Tower pro. Killed two in one week. I now run an Airtronics 94780. 423in/oz at 6v.

I use the same airtronics and it can't be beat.

I'm running a towerpro MG995 at 7 volts, works fine for me

Jkelley 03-08-2010 07:31 AM

I run the Jr Z9100T. It does the job well"thumbsup"

HARDTRAILZ 03-08-2010 09:08 AM

My axial has the 9100 JR but f the creeper is just being built for people to come out and crawl with me, so it is gonna make use of some 995's i got sitting around. i figure they wont last, but I got a few to use before spending real money on a new one.

I run a 7950TH...aside from it being noisy (lots of feedback for some reason) it is very good. I know five other rigs who I have driven with running the 7950TH and its very strong. I run mine at 6V (408oz)currently but at 7.4 you get tons of power (486oz.) so def worth it plus Hitec warranty is the best.

do you have any weight on your truck if so how much

snwchris 03-09-2010 10:19 AM

I'm running the 7955-TG and for $85 it's a beast.
Can easily push & move rocks and can easily get some control when up against rock or wall.

You could also run the 7954-SH (333/403) which runs about $80-$85 as well

I have a decent amount of weight. My rig weighs in at 6lbs 3oz overall. Im running Vanquish DH Procomp wheels with 4oz wrapped on rim and then various Vanquish weights in the wheels. I believe the front wheels with tires and foams mounted currently weigh in at 14.5oz each. i have been playing with the weight a lot lately. The servo its self can move rocks off the course :) One guy I know, front wheels weigh in at over 16oz each and he runs same servo...no issues. "thumbsup"
