Trans

how hard should it be to turn the trans by hand when after putting it together

Some I've herd had flashing on the gears. You can either tare it apart and remove or just run it in. I used my cordless drill hooked to the trans. After ten minutes or so it spins with your fingers. Its been 5 months and no problems. As for your other tread I built mine in 5-6 hours. It was also my first kit. Good luck.

It's normal. Just make sure your mesh with the pinion is good. Mine was stiff and I ran it for awhile then rechecked the gear mesh (it was a little to tight) and its golden now.
